DTC P0136: O2 Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 2)

P0136 - O2 CIRCUIT (BANK 1, SENSOR 2)

Description:  This DTC sets when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects a concern with one of the circuits used to determine the oxygen content in the exhaust gas.
Possible Causes: 
  • HO2S circuit open
  • SIGRTN circuit open
  • Incorrect connections
  • Damaged or corroded terminals
  • Exhaust temperature significantly higher than expected
  • Damaged HO2S
Diagnostic Aids:  Inspect the connectors for signs of damage, water ingress, or corrosion.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST DW .
