- 4. With vehicle speed above 43 km/h (27 mph), press the accelerator pedal to Wide Open Throttle (WOT). The transaxle should shift from 4th to 3rd, or 4th to 2nd, depending on vehicle speed. The torque converter should disengage.
- 5. With vehicle speed above 56 km/h (35 mph), move the selector lever from the D range to the L range and remove foot from accelerator pedal. The transaxle should immediately downshift to 2nd gear. When vehicle speed drops below 32 km/h (20 mph), the transaxle should downshift into 1st gear.
