Pinpoint Test AJ: The Stop Safely Now Warning Is Inoperative/Always On (Hybrid)
- AJ1 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE PCM KOEO SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded PCM DTCs from the Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) self-test.
- Are any PCM DTCs recorded?
- Yes: REFER to the INTRODUCTION article.
- No: GO to AJ2 .
- AJ2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE TCM SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded TCM DTCs from the self-test.
- Are any TCM DTCs recorded?
- Yes: REFER to the INTRODUCTION article.
- No: GO to AJ3 .
- AJ3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE BCM-HVTB SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded BCM-HVTB DTCs from the self-test.
- Are any BCM-HVTB DTCs recorded?
- Yes: REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULE article.
- No: GO to AJ4 .
- AJ4 CONFIRM THE STOP SAFELY NOW WARNING OPERATION
- Ignition ON.
- Observe the STOP SAFELY NOW warning operation.
- Is the STOP SAFELY NOW warning always displayed?
- Yes: GO to AJ5 .
- No: GO to AJ6.
- AJ5 VERIFY THE OPERATION OF THE HAZARD WARNING INDICATOR NOTE: Both the hazard warning indicator and the STOP SAFELY NOW warning are displayed when a fault condition is detected.
- Observe the hazard warning indicator operation.
- Is the hazard warning indicator illuminated?
- Yes: GO to PINPOINT TEST AE .
- No: INSTALL a new IC . REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
- AJ6 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IC SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded IC DTCs from the self-test.
- Are any IC DTCs recorded?
- Yes: REFER to DTC CHARTS in this service information.
- No: INSTALL a new IC . REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
