- VERIFY the compass zone reset or compass calibration has been activated by following the appropriate procedure. REFER to COMPASS ZONE ADJUSTMENT or COMPASS CALIBRATION .
- If the compass information is not displayed in the message center GO to PINPOINT TEST AF to diagnose the compass.
- If the compass information is displayed in the message center, INSTALL a new IPC
. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . TEST the system for normal operation.

- If the DRIVER DOOR AJAR warning functions correctly, GO to PINPOINT TEST L (never on) or GO to PINPOINT TEST M (always on) to diagnose the brake warning indicator.

- The DRIVER, PASSENGER, REAR LEFT, REAR RIGHT DOOR or liftgate AJAR warning is inoperative/always on
|

- DISCONNECT the brake fluid level switch and VERIFY the message center displays CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM.
- If the CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM warning turns on, GO to PINPOINT TEST AD to diagnose the door ajar message center warning indicator.
- If the CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM warning does not turn on, INSTALL a new IPC
. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . TEST the system for normal operation.

- The CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON or OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message is inoperative
|
|
- Using the system check in the message center, VERIFY the oil life is between 0% and 5% for the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message or at 0% for the OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message.
- If the oil life is between 0% and 10%, INSTALL a new IPC
. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
- If the oil life is not between 0% and 10%, the message center is operating correctly. INFORM the customer how the message center functions and how the oil life messages are set.

- If the DRIVER DOOR AJAR warning functions correctly, GO to PINPOINT TEST R to diagnose the TPMS
warning indicator.
