IPC CHIME CHARACTERISTICS

| Door ajar | Single tone | The chime sounds a single 1.6 second chime tone when any door changes from the closed to the open state with vehicle speed greater than 5 km/h (3 mph). |
| Forward collision warning | Single | The chime sounds for a single 1.5 second chime tone when a forward collision potential has been detected. |
| Headlamps on | Repetitive | The chime sounds a 1.6 second chime tone for as long as the headlamps are on and the IPC receives the chime on command. The chime shuts off when battery saver has expired (approximately 30 minutes). |
| Key-in-ignition | Repetitive | The chime sounds a single 1 second chime tone for as long as the key is in the lock cylinder with the ignition off (except Intelligent Access (IA)) or the ignition is in ACC (with IA ) with the door ajar. The chime shuts off when battery saver has expired (approximately 30 minutes). |
| Memory feedback | Single tone | The chime sounds for 0.1 second when the IPC receives a memory state change message. |

| Perimeter alarm | Repetitive | On for 12 seconds when the driver door is opened using a key and the alarm is armed. The chime sounds 2 chime tones for the first 6 seconds followed by 3 chime tones for the next 4 seconds and finally 4 chime tones for the last 3 seconds. |
| Safety belt | Repetitive | The chime sounds 1.6 second tones for 6 minutes or as long as the safety belt is unbuckled and the IPC receives the chime on command. |
