Pinpoint Test K: The AWD Gauge Is Inoperative

  1. K1 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST 
    • Check for recorded IPC  DTCs from the self-test.
    • Are any DTCs recorded? 
    • Yes:  REFER to DTC CHARTS .
    • No:  GO to K2  .
  2. K2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE PCM SELF-TEST 
    • Check for recorded AWD  system PCM DTCs from the self-test.
    • Are any DTCs recorded? 
  3. K3 CHECK THE DISPLAY MODE MENU 
    • On the optional IPC  , in the display mode menu, press the LH steering wheel switch to the right to display the AWD  gauge.
    • On the base IPC  (Edge only), in the Information display mode, press the LH steering wheel switch to the right then down to display the AWD  gauge.
    • Does the AWD gauge display? 
    • Yes:  The AWD  gauge is operating correctly at this time. The display mode was not set to correct display mode.
    • No:  INSTALL a new IPC  . REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
