Removal and Installation
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to
JACKING AND LIFTING
.
- Remove the parking brake cable equalizer adjustment nut and disconnect the front parking brake cable from the equalizer.
- Remove the LH front seat. For additional information, refer to
SEATING
.
- Remove the LH front door scuff plate. For additional information, refer to
INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION

- Remove the parking brake control adjustment nut.
- Remove the front parking brake cable-to-control nut and remove the front parking brake cable from the control.
- To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Remove the front parking brake cable bracket bolt.
- To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Remove the 2 front parking brake cable floor plate bolts.
- To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Remove the front parking brake cable.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
