Instrument Cluster (IC) Dealer Test Mode

NOTE: The table below uses XXX's to represent a numeric or alpha-numeric value. The value may display the same amount of characters represented by the XXX's or there may be more/less depending on the type of display. For example: F XXX may display F 125.

To enter the IC  dealer test mode, press and hold the trip odometer reset button and turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. Release the trip odometer reset button when tESt is displayed in the integrated display area. This takes between 5 and 8 seconds (the IC  enters the gauge sweep test). Press the trip odometer reset button to move through the tests. To exit the IC  dealer test mode, hold the trip odometer reset button for greater than 3 seconds or turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

IC  Display Description
gAgE Carries out a gauge sweep of all gauges and then displays the present value.
All segments illuminated Carries out a prove-out of all trip/ODO segments.
LEd Illuminates all micro-controlled LEDs.
r XXXX Displays the current Read-Only Memory (ROM) level in decimal format. The display alternates with FAIL at 1 Hz 50% duty cycle if the checksum is incorrect.
ErXXX Displays the target Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) ROM  in hexadecimal format.
E XX Displays the NVM  Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) in decimal format. The display alternates with FAIL at 1 Hz 50% duty cycle if the checksum is incorrect.
dtStXX Displays the single byte hexadecimal coding of the manufacturing start date.
dtXXXX Displays the 2-byte hexadecimal coding of the manufacturing start date.
dtc XXXX Displays the stored DTCs in hexadecimal format.
If no DTCs are present, nonE is displayed.
SPXXXX Displays the current speed signal input in mph.
SPXXXX Displays the current speed signal input in km/h.
SgXXXX Displays the speedometer driver gauge counts in hexadecimal format.
tAXXXX Displays the engine speed input value in decimal format.
tgXXXX Displays the tachometer gauge driver counts in hexadecimal format.
OD XXX Displays the odometer rolling count in decimal format.
F XXX Displays the present fuel level ratio in decimal format. A short circuit is displayed 000-009, normal is displayed 010-254, an open circuit is displayed 255.
FgXXXX Displays the fuel gauge output driver counts in hexadecimal format.
FL XX Displays the fuel flow rolling count message data value in hexadecimal format.
FP XX Displays the average fuel percent level (as displayed by cluster).
Normal range is 00 to 64.
Invalid displays FF.
XXX C Displays the engine temperature messaged input value in decimal format.
Normal range is -40 to 254.
Invalid range is 255.
XXX Cg Displays the temperature gauge driver counts in hexadecimal format.
btXXX Displays the present battery voltage input in decimal format.
dtEXXX Displays the Distance To Empty (DTE) in miles.
rAFEXXX Displays the rolling average fuel economy in mpg.
PATSXX Displays Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) key read flags.
An-XXX Displays the hexadecimal value of the A/D port (n represents the port number).
P01, P02, P05, P08, P10, P11, P12, P13, P16, P19, P20, P21, P22 and P23-XX Displays the hexadecimal value of micro-port readings.
gAgE Repeats the test display cycle.
