Crankshaft Rear Seal: Installation

    NOTE: Lubricate the inner lip of the crankshaft rear seal with engine oil.
  1. Using the Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Installers, install the crankshaft rear seal.

  2. Using the Crankshaft Rear Oil Slinger Installer and Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Installers, install the crankshaft oil slinger.

  3. Install the flexplate. For additional information, refer to Flexplate .
    4. WARNING: If the vehicle is equipped with a fire suppression system, repower the system. For important safety warnings and procedures, refer to FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM article. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
  4. If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system.
