Removal & Installation

- Remove the 6 pin-type retainers and the radiator sight shield.
- Remove the 2 hood latch bolts.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the cable and remove the hood latch.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Check the hood latch adjustment to make sure the hood striker engages the hood latch correctly.
NOTE:
Mark the position of the hood latch prior to removal of the bolts.
