Pinpoint Test V: The SPOTLAMP Is Inoperative/Always On

  1. V1 DETERMINE IF THE SPOTLAMP IS ALWAYS ON 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Observe the spotlamp while turning the switch to the ON and OFF positions.
    • Is the spotlamp always illuminated? 
    1. YES  : INSTALL a new spotlamp. REFER to Spotlamp . TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : Go to  V2.
  2. V2 CHECK CIRCUIT 931 (OG) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect: Inoperative Spotlamp

    • Measure the voltage between the LH spotlamp C2205-1, circuit 931 (OG), harness side and ground; or between the RH spotlamp C2206-1, circuit 931 (OG), harness side and ground.
    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. YES  : INSTALL a new spotlamp. REFER to Spotlamp . TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : VERIFY the BJB fuse 2 (20A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
