Extension Housing Seal: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
Remove the driveshaft. For additional information, refer to DRIVESHAFT .
Using a suitable transmission jack, support the transmission.
Remove the 4 transmission crossmember-to-floor pan screws only and lower the transmission enough to gain access to the extension housing seal.

Remove and discard the nut.

Using the special tool, remove the output shaft flange.

Using the special tools, remove and discard the extension housing seal.
