Door Latch: Installation

Position the door latch inside the door.
Connect the interior door handle actuating cable.

Connect the cable cover.
Connect the 2 wiring harness electrical connectors.

If equipped, connect the door lock cylinder actuating rod.

Connect the manual lock rod.

Install the 3 door latch bolts.
- Tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).

NOTE: Push upward on the exterior door handle actuating rod and make sure the door latch is in a neutral position when installing the rod into the retaining clip to make sure the exterior door handle is correctly positioned.

Connect the exterior door handle actuating rod into the clip.

Reseal the watershield.
Install the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
