Pinpoint Test A: The Clock Operation Is Erratic/Inoperative

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
  1. A1 CHECK CIRCUIT SBP14 (BN/RD) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Clock C2016
    • Measure the voltage between the clock C2016-6, circuit SBP14 (BN/RD), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. YES  : Go to  A2.
    2. NO  : VERIFY the SJB fuse 14 (10A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. A2 CHECK CIRCUIT GD111 (BK/BU) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between the clock C2016-3, circuit GD111 (BK/BU), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. YES  : INSTALL a new clock. REFER to Clock . TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
