- Remove the outer safety belt trim guide.
- Release the seat cushion J-clips.
- Fold the seat backrest down.
- Tip the seat cushion up.
- Release the seat cushion J-clips.
- Release the J-clip at the inboard side of the seat cushion frame.
- Remove the bolt and separate the safety belt retractor anchor and buckle from the inboard backrest recliner.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Release the 2 backrest trim cover lower J-clips.
- Release the 4 backrest trim cover inside J-clips-to-hard back panel.

NOTE: Use care when separating the backrest trim cover from the hook-and-loop strip, or the hook-and-loop strip can be torn from the foam pad.
Release the hook-and-loop strips, invert the backrest trim cover and remove the 2 rows of hog rings.
- Remove the 5 screws and backrest hard back panel.
- Feed the safety belt through and remove the backrest trim cover and foam pad.
- Remove the 3 bolts and safety belt retractor assembly.
- When installing the safety belt retractor assembly, position the safety belt retractor key through the backrest frame key way.
- To install, tighten the lower retractor M10 bolt to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- When installing the inner safety belt guide, position it into the backrest frame slot.
- To install, tighten the 2 webbing guide M8 bolts to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- When installing the safety belt retractor assembly, position the safety belt retractor key through the backrest frame key way.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
