Pinpoint Test D: No Power In Start

CAUTION:
Use the Flex Probe Kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multi-meter probes.
- D1 CHECK THE STARTER OPERATION
- Key in START position.
- Does the starter motor engage?
- YES : Go to D2.
- NO : INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to Ignition Switch . TEST the system for normal operation.
- D2 CHECK CIRCUITS CDC35 (BU/WH) AND CDC34 (WH/OG) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Ignition Switch C250
- Disconnect: SJB C2280b
- Measure the resistance between:
- ignition switch C250-5, circuit CDC35 (BU/WH), harness side and SJB C2280b-11, circuit CDC35 (BU/WH), harness side.
- ignition switch C250-1, circuit CDC34 (WH/OG), harness side and SJB C2280b-29, circuit CDC34 (WH/OG), harness side.
- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
- YES : REPAIR the affected circuit(s). TEST the system for normal operation.
- NO : Go to D3.
- D3 CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH
- Carry out the ignition switch component test Refer to Component Tests .
- Is the ignition switch OK ?
- YES : VERIFY all SJB fuses are OK. If not OK, REPAIR as necessary. If OK, INSTALL a new SJB, REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
- NO : INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to Ignition Switch . TEST the system for normal operation.
