Transmission Support Crossmember

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Remove the 2 transmission mount nuts from the transmission support crossmember.
- To install, tighten to 90 N.m (66 lb-ft).
- Support the transmission with a suitable jack.
- Remove the transmission support crossmember.
- Remove the 2 horizontal transmission support crossmember bolts and nuts (1 each side).
- To install, tighten to 127 Nm (94 lb-ft).
- Remove the 4 vertical transmission support crossmember bolts and nuts (2 each side).
- To install, tighten to 99 Nm (73 lb-ft).
- Remove the transmission support crossmember.
- Remove the 2 horizontal transmission support crossmember bolts and nuts (1 each side).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
Do not allow the transmission to hang freely.
