CAUTION: For the CD6 and TREMOR audio units, the audio unit must be placed in shipment mode before removal. Refer to Audio Unit Shipment Mode . Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the audio unit.

The audio unit backlight is inoperative - all other instrument panel lighting functions are normal	Circuitry Audio unit	REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PANEL ILLUMINATION to continue diagnosis of an individual illumination source inoperative.
The cassette player is inoperative	Audio unit	REMOVE the audio unit and SEND it to an authorized audio system repair facility. REFER to Audio Unit . TEST the system for normal operation after the repair.

If any voltage is present, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation. If no voltage is present, SEND the audio unit to an authorized audio system repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation after the repair.
