Low Speed Windshield Wipers

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Ford Ranger. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Low speed operation is activated when the multi-function switch provides ground to the low speed inputs of the SJB. When low speed is requested, the SJB activates the windshield wiper run/park relay by grounding the relay coil. When the windshield wiper run/park relay is activated, it supplies voltage to the low speed output of the windshield wiper high/low relay. The SJB continues to cycle the windshield wiper in low speed mode until the inputs from the multi-function switch are changed from the LOW speed position.
