Normal Operation
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Ford Ranger. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Under normal operation, when the washer is selected, the multi-function switch provides ground to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit CRW07 (GY/BN). When the SJB commands the washer ON, ground is provided to the washer relay coil through circuit CRW14 (BU/WH). When the washer relay is energized, voltage is sent from the washer relay to the washer motor through circuit CRW24 (GY).
Possible Causes
- A short to voltage in circuit CRW24 (GY)
- A short to ground in circuit CRW14 (BU/WH) or CRW07 (GY/BN)
- Washer relay
- Multi-function switch
- Smart junction box (SJB)
