Seat Cushion - Front, 60 Percent: Disassembly

WARNING: Never probe the electrical connectors on safety belt buckle/retractor pretensioners or adaptive load limiting retractors. Failure to follow this instruction may result in the accidental deployment of the safety belt pretensioners or adaptive load limiting retractors, which increases the risk of serious personal injury or death.
NOTE: The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the restraints control module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON. This is normal operation and does not indicate a supplemental restraint system (SRS) fault.
NOTE: The SRS must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
  1. Remove the affected seat. For additional information, refer to Seat - Front  in this article.
  2. Remove the armrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Armrest - 60 Percent  in this article.
  3. Remove the backrest assembly. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Front, 60 Percent  in this article.
  4. Remove the seat track. For additional information, refer to Seat Track - 60 Percent  in this article.
  5. Remove the 2 screws and seat track position sensor from the seat track.
  6. Release the remaining trim cover J-clips.

  7. NOTE: Note the routing of the seat back latch release cable through the seat cushion frame.

  8. Release the pin-type retainer and remove the seat backrest latch release cable.
  9. Remove the seat cushion frame from the seat cushion foam pad.
  10. Remove the rows of hog rings and remove the seat cushion trim cover.
