Fuel Tank and Lines

The mechanical, returnless fuel system consists of:

The fuel pump is controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM) which energizes the fuel pump relay. Electrical power to the pump is provided through the inertia fuel shutoff (IFS) switch. On early build vehicles, the IFS switch is located on the toe board to the left of the RH cowl panel. On late build vehicles, the IFS switch is located underneath the RH cowl panel.
