- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING article.
- Remove the bolt and the snow shield.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the accelerator cable, the speed control cable and the return spring.
- Remove the 3 bolts, the stud bolt and the throttle body (TB).
- Discard the TB gasket.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- If servicing the TB, remove the TP sensor. For additional information, refer to ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS article.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Clean all TB sealing surfaces and install a new TB gasket.
