Fuel Injectors: Removal

- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
- Release the fuel pressure. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
- Remove the upper intake manifold. For additional information, refer to ENGINE - 3.0L (2V) article.
- Disconnect the 6 fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the fuel supply tube spring lock coupling. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
- Remove the 4 fuel rail bolts and remove the fuel rail and the fuel injectors as an assembly.
- Remove the 6 fuel injectors from the fuel rail.
- Remove and discard the fuel injector O-ring seals.
