Extension Housing: Installation

NOTE: Install a 2 mm (0.07 in) bead of sealant on the extension housing mating surface.

Install the extension housing.
- Tighten to 39 Nm (29 lb-ft).
Install the transmission mount.

- Position the exhaust bracket.
- Install the bolts.
  - Tighten to 98 Nm (72 lb-ft).
Position the crossmember and install the 6 bolts and nuts.

- Tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).
Remove High-Lift Transmission Jack.
Install the nuts.

- Tighten to 98 Nm (72 lb-ft).
Install the transfer case, if equipped. For additional information, refer to TRANSFER CASE article.

NOTE: To maintain initial driveshaft balance, align the index marks on the driveshaft and the rear axle pinion flange made during removal.

Install the rear driveshaft. For additional information, refer to DRIVESHAFT article.
Install the drain plug.

- Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
Refill the transmission with the specified amount of transmission fluid.
Lower the vehicle.
