Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Ford Ranger. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Under normal operation, the driver window control switch is supplied voltage through circuit CPW30 (GY/YE). When the driver window control switch is commanding the driver window down, voltage is sent to the one-touch down (OTD) relay through circuit CPW10 (YE/VT). In the de-energized state, voltage is sent from the OTD relay to the driver window motor through circuit CPW01 (BN/BU). Ground for the driver window motor is provided by the driver window control switch through circuit CPW11 (BU/GY). When up is commanded, voltage and ground from the driver window control switch is reversed.
