Vehicles with 3.0L engine and 4.0L engine

  1. Position the exhaust Y-pipe assembly to the exhaust manifold and loosely tighten the exhaust Y-pipe assembly-to-exhaust manifold nuts to stiffen the joint.
    • Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).


    NOTE: RH side shown, LH side similar.
    NOTE: 3.0L shown, 4.0L similar.

  1. Tighten the exhaust Y-pipe assembly-to-exhaust manifold nuts.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).


  1. Tighten the RH side of the exhaust Y-pipe-to-muffler and tailpipe assembly bolts.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
