Remove the A/C compressor. For additional information, refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor - 2.3L , Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor - 3.0L or Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor - 4.0L in this article.

Remove the A/C clutch pulley snap ring.

Remove the A/C clutch pulley.

- Install the special tool.
- Remove the A/C clutch pulley.

CAUTION: Do not use air tools. The A/C compressor clutch field coil can be easily damaged.

Remove the A/C compressor clutch field coil.
- Install the special tool on the nose opening of the A/C compressor.
- Install the special tool.
- Remove the A/C compressor clutch field coil.
