Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor - 2.3L: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
Remove the engine plug bolt.

Install the special tool and turn the crankshaft pulley bolt to position the No. 1 cylinder at top dead center (TDC).

Remove the 2 bolts and the CKP sensor.
Install an M6 bolt in the position shown.
