Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor - 2.3L: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
- Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the engine plug bolt.
- Install the special tool and turn the crankshaft pulley bolt to position the No. 1 cylinder at top dead center (TDC).
- Remove the 2 bolts and the CKP sensor.
- Install an M6 bolt in the position shown.
