Coolant Pump - 3.0L: Installation

- Position the coolant pump and loosely install the 10 bolts and 2 stud bolts.
- Tighten bolts 1-7 in the sequence shown to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Tighten bolts 8-12 in the sequence shown to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Position the A/C compressor mounting bracket and install the front bolts.
- Tighten to 51 Nm (38 lb-ft).
- Position the accessory drive belt tensioner and install the bolt.
- Tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
- Connect the bypass hose.
- Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket side stud bolts.
- Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- Position the battery cable bracket and install the nut.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Install the coolant pump pulley.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Install the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE article.
- Attach the wiring harness retainer.
- Connect the heater hose.
- Install the fan blade and fan shroud. For additional information, refer to Cooling Fan Shroud - 3.0L, 4.0L in this article.
- Install the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING article.
- Fill the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding - 3.0L, 4.0L in this article.
