Wheel Studs: Installation

CAUTION:
Never use air tools to install wheel studs. The serrations can be stripped from the stud.
- Insert a new wheel stud in the axle flange, making sure the serrations are aligned with those made by the original wheel stud.
- Seat the new wheel stud in the axle flange.
- Place 4 flat washers over the outside end of the wheel stud.
- Thread a standard lug nut with the flat side against the washers.
- Tighten the wheel nut until the wheel stud head seats against the back side of the flange.
- Remove the wheel nut and flat washers.
