Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the intake manifold. For additional information, refer to Intake Manifold  in this article.
  2. Remove the thermostat housing. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING article.
  3. Remove the hydraulic chain tensioner.
    • To install, tighten to 44 Nm (32 lb-ft).
  4. NOTE: Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
  5. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
