Removal And Installation

CAUTION: During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material created while cleaning gasket surfaces that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan, can cause engine failure.
  1. Remove the valve cover. For additional information, refer to Valve Cover - LH  and/or Valve Cover - RH  in this article.
  2. NOTE: Identify and mark the location of each rocker arm. Each rocker arm must be installed in the original location.
  3. Remove the bolts and the rocker arms and fulcrums.
    • To install, tighten to 32 Nm (24 lb-ft).
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Lubricate the rocker arms and fulcrums with clean engine oil.
