Removal And Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the oil level indicator and the 2 bolts.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  3. Remove the oil level indicator tube and discard the O-ring seal.
    4. NOTE: Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring prior to installation of the indicator tube.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Install a new O-ring seal.
