  1. Remove the halfshafts. For additional information, refer to FRONT DRIVE HALFSHAFTS .

  1. Using the special tool and a suitable slide hammer to remove the stub shaft oil seals.

  3. Using the special tool and a slide hammer, remove the stub shaft pilot bearings or bushings, as equipped.
  4. Clean the bearing and seal surfaces of any foreign material.
