Power Steering: Notes

Power Steering System - The power steering system consists of the following components:
- Power steering pump
- Power steering fluid reservoir
- Power steering pressure lines
- Power steering return lines
- Power steering fluid cooler
- Steering gear
Power Steering Pump - The power steering pump has the following features:
- A belt-driven, vane-type pump
- Uses a quick connect fitting for the power steering pressure hose
- Has an identification tag indicating the model number and bar code
- Is replaced as an assembly
