Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the intake manifold. For additional information, refer to ENGINE - 5.4L (3V) article (5.4L) or ENGINE - 6.8L (3V) article (6.8L).
  2. Disconnect the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector.
  3. Remove the CHT sensor and discard.
    • To install, tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb-in).
    • Coat the new CHT sensor threads with high temperature nickel anti-seize lubricant prior to installation.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
