Removal And Installation

CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
NOTE: Prior to the removal of the module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to a scan tool. This information must be downloaded into the new DSM after installation. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION article.
  1. Remove the driver seat. For additional information, refer to SEATING article.
  2. Remove the 2 screws.
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
  3. Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors and remove the DSM.
    4. NOTE: Once the module is installed it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the scan tool into the new module. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION article.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
