Removal And Installation

WARNING: Windshield washer solution contains methanol, which is poisonous. Observe all cautions and warnings indicated on the label of the container. Failure to follow these instructions could result in personal injury.
CAUTION: Do not operate the windshield washer pump before filling the reservoir. Failure to do so could result in premature pump failure.
NOTE: To prevent spilling windshield washer fluid, drain fluid from the windshield washer reservoir before removal.
  1. Disconnect the windshield washer pump electrical connector.

  3. Disconnect washer fluid reservoir hose.

  5. Remove the 3 washer fluid reservoir bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 7 N.m (62 lb-in).
  6. Remove the washer fluid reservoir.
  7. CAUTION: When installing a new windshield washer pump, be careful not to damage the rubber grommet.
  8. Remove the windshield washer pump.
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
