Removal And Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the bolt and the oil level indicator and tube.
  3. Disconnect the LH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.
  4. Remove the 2 nuts and detach the dual converter Y-pipe.
  5. Remove the 2 nuts and the engine lifting eye.
  6. Remove the 6 nuts, the LH exhaust manifold and the gasket. Discard the nuts and the gasket.
    7. NOTE: Note the locations of the 2 long studs.
  7. Remove and discard the 6 LH exhaust manifold studs.
