Engine Dynamic Balance Shaft: Installation

  1. Lubricate the engine dynamic balance shaft with clean engine oil and install it in the engine block.
  2. Install the bolts.
    • Tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
  3. Make sure the engine dynamic balance shaft Woodruff key is at the 12 o'clock position and the camshaft Woodruff key is at the 6 o'clock position.
  4. Install the engine dynamic balance shaft drive gear on the camshaft. Make sure the timing marks on the drive gear and driven gear are lined up.
