Transfer Case Shift Motor

- With the ignition in the ON position, switch the mode select switch (MSS) to 4H.
- Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Disconnect the harness connector.
- Remove the bracket bolt and the 3 mounting bolts, then remove the transfer case shift motor.
- Remove the shifter shaft seal.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Apply a coat of multi-purpose grease to the transfer case shift motor.
