Oil Pump: Installation

    NOTE: Install the gears with marks pointing outward.

  1. Lubricate the inner gear with lithium assembly grease and install onto the crankshaft. Lubricate the outer gear with lithium assembly grease and mesh with the inner gear rotor in the oil pump housing. Wipe off the excess assembly grease.
  2. NOTE: Install a new O-ring seal.

  3. Install the gerotor cover and bolts.
  4. Install the crankshaft front oil seal. For additional information, refer to CRANKSHAFT FRONT SEAL .
