Removal and Installation

- Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
- Depower the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
- Remove the upper steering column shroud.
- Remove the screw and the transmission range indicator from the steering column.
- Disconnect the transmission range indicator cable from the shift selector arm.
- Remove the 4 screws and the instrument cluster.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- If a new instrument cluster was installed, download the instrument cluster configuration information from the scan tool into the new instrument cluster. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
NOTE:
If installing a new instrument cluster, it is necessary to upload the instrument cluster configuration information to the scan tool. For additional information, refer to

Release the upper steering column shroud by pressing the sides inward.
