Removal and Installation

    CAUTION: If equipped with fire suppression system, depower the system. For important safety warnings and procedures, refer to FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM .
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. Disconnect the right side heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.

  4. Disconnect the left side HO2S electrical connector.

  5. Using the special tool, remove the RH or LH HO2S as necessary.
    • To install, tighten to 41 Nm (30 lb-ft).

  6. WARNING: If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system. For important safety warnings and procedures, refer to FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM .
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure. If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system.
