Knock Sensor (KS): Installation

Engine block-mounted 

  1. Install the KS and the bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  2. Connect the KS electrical connector.
  3. Install the lower intake manifold. For additional information, refer to ENGINE MECHANICAL - 3.0L (4V) -- FUSION & MILAN article.

    Cylinder head-mounted 

  4. Install the KS and the bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  5. Connect the KS electrical connector.
