NOTE: If an unauthorized vehicle entry is through the driver door, the perimeter alarm does not activate for 12 seconds. If an unauthorized entry is through the passenger doors (or hood), the perimeter alarm activates immediately.

SYMPTOM CHART

No communication with the Smart Junction Box (SJB)	Fuse(s) Wiring, terminals or connectors SJB	REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK , The SJB Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool.
The alarm system does not disarm - from the driver door	Wiring, terminals or connectors Door disarm switch (part of the driver door latch) SJB	GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
The alarm system does not arm/disarm - using the Integrated Keyhead Transmitter (IKT) key	IKT key concern SJB	OPERATE the locks using the IKT key. If the doors do not lock and unlock using the IKT key, REFER to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS .
The alarm system does not arm/disarm - using the keyless entry keypad	Keyless entry keypad SJB	If the keypad does not operate any of the locking/unlocking functions, REFER to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS . If the keypad operates all of the locking/unlocking functions, but the alarm does not arm/disarm using the keypad, INSTALL a new SJB . REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES . TEST the system for normal operation.
The alarm system does not operate correctly - alarm does not activate with hood ajar/open	Wiring, terminals or connectors Hood switch SJB	GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
