Removal and Installation

- Remove the power liftgate rod assembly. For additional information, refer to POWER LIFTGATE ROD .
- Disconnect the power liftgate motor electrical connectors.
- Remove the power liftgate motor retaining bolts and remove the power liftgate motor assembly.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
- Position the back end of the rear quarter trim out enough to access the top power liftgate motor retaining bolt.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Initialize the power liftgate. For additional information, refer to POWER LIFTGATE INITIALIZATION .
