Removal and Installation

Front Door 

NOTE: Front LH door shown, front RH door similar.

NOTE: Front LH door shown, all other doors similar.
  1. Disconnect the battery cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the door check arm-to-body bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).

  3. NOTE: The electrical connector has a lever that must be disengaged before the connector can be removed from the body.
  4. Disconnect the door-to-body electrical connector.
    • Disengage the door-to-body electrical connector lever.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector from the body.

  5. Remove the 2 upper hinge-to-door bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

  6. NOTE: The next step requires the assistance of another technician.
  7. Remove the 2 lower hinge-to-door bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
    • Remove the door.

  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
