Pinpoint Test B: All Power Windows Are Inoperative - Edge

NOTE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) from the Flex Probe Kit when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
  1. B1 CHECK CIRCUIT CBP47 (GN/BU) FOR VOLTAGE 
    • Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504A.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Measure the voltage between LH front window control switch C504A-2, circuit CBP47 (GN/BU), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes:  GO to  B3.
    • No:  VERIFY Smart Junction Box (SJB) circuit breaker 47 (30A) is OK. If OK, GO to B2  .

      If not OK, REFER to the SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS for Edge or SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS for MKX to identify the possible causes of the circuit short. REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  2. B2 CHECK CIRCUIT CBP47 (GN/BU) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Disconnect: SJB  C2280D.
    • Measure the resistance between LH front window control switch C504A-2, circuit CBP47 (GN/BU), harness side and SJB  C2280D-32, circuit CBP47 (GN/BU), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes:  GO to PINPOINT TEST L  to diagnose the accessory delay relay circuit.
    • No:  REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. B3 CHECK CIRCUIT GD133 (BK) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504B.
    • Measure the resistance between LH front window control switch C504B-7, circuit GD133 (BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes:  INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH . TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
